The 19th - 25th of May is Creativity and Wellbeing week and is taking place across Norfolk, in partnership between London Arts and Health Forum and the Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance! We are excited to engage with the festival and to offer some new courses at a lower cost than usual so that they are more accessible to all! (Please note that we offer a concession on all our usual courses if you are on low income, just email us before booking!) This one day course will explore hybrid printmaking using both collagraph and drypoint. Collagraph involves using different textures/surfaces to build a plate that will hold ink, creating varied tones and marks. Drypoint involves engraving a line into the surface of a plate that will hold ink, much like a drawing. You'll be shown how to design and experiment with these methods and will be encouraged to investigate combining techniques to make bold, graphic prints. You'll also be shown how to create your own Chine Collé papers, which can then be used in combination with collagraph and drypoint to add coloured elements to your prints. You will produce your own printing plate and a variable edition of prints to take home. This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to further the range of printmaking techniques at their disposal. This course/session requires a minimum of 3 participants in order to be viable to run. If we receive fewer than 3 bookings we may cancel the course/session or reschedule to start at a later date. In this event we will notify you via email to see if you are able to reschedule or to issue you with a refund. If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us at norwichprintmakers@gmail.com ASAP. We regret that refunds cannot be given for cancellations received less than 7 days before the start date of the course/booking. We cannot issue refunds if a participant does not turn up on the day. If we need to cancel a course for whatever reason we will notify all participants ASAP and issue refunds via your original payment method. All bookings include a 5% online booking fee which is non-refundable, this covers transaction costs which we have to pay out as a non profit company. All participants must be over 18. Please do not book if you or the person you are booking for is under 18 years of age. By booking, you agree for us to share your email address with the course tutor so they can contact you with information as needed before the course. Your details will not be passed on by us to any 3rd parties. By booking you confirm you have read and agreed to these terms.
