Multiple Block Lino Cut - 2 Days

Service Description
This two day course is for those with some previous experience in lino printing and is an opportunity to explore multiple block techniques. Multiple block can be used in various ways including 'freestyle', which is where you have separate blocks that build up different elements of an image. You can try the jigsaw method, which is where you cut a block into sections that can be inked in different colours before being 'jigsawed' back together for printing. You can also try creating a 'key block', which involves cutting a more detailed block. Registration is then used to transfer the key block onto subsequent blocks so that separate colours can be printed in layers. You'll be shown various examples and will be assisted in developing your designs and discovering your own way of working. You will be fully inducted to use the tools and equipment available at our studio. Basic materials will be provided (lino blocks, paper, ink). Additional materials can be paid for during the sessions. Once you have completed this 2 day course you can apply to become a member of Norwich Printmaking Hub and can book onto our Open Access sessions. Cancellation Policy
This course/session requires a minimum of 3 participants in order to be viable to run. If we receive fewer than 3 bookings we may cancel the course/session or reschedule to start at a later date. In this event we will notify you via email to see if you are able to reschedule or to issue you with a refund. If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us at norwichprintmakers@gmail.com ASAP. We regret that refunds cannot be given for cancellations received less than 7 days before the start date of the course/booking. We cannot issue refunds if a participant does not turn up on the day. If we need to cancel a course for whatever reason we will notify all participants ASAP and issue refunds via your original payment method. All bookings include a 5% online booking fee which is non-refundable, this covers transaction costs which we have to pay out as a non profit company. All participants must be over 18. Please do not book if you or the person you are booking for is under 18 years of age. By booking, you agree for us to share your email address with the course tutor so they can contact you with information as needed before the course. Your details will not be passed on by us to any 3rd parties. By booking you confirm you have read and agreed to these terms.
