Service Description
This 12 week course is an opportunity to work alongside others towards a themed exhibition that will take place at a venue in Norwich city centre. Designed as an extension of our Year of Printmaking, or for those with a good level of printmaking experience, the main aim of the course is to support the development of your individual practice, while also helping you to refine skills and understand what you need to do to get your prints ready to show as part of a larger exhibition. As a group you will develop a theme for your work, and will focus on individual projects in response to the theme chosen. You will be supported in how you approach the theme and this can still be broadly interpreted as individuals. As well as producing individual work, you will also be encouraged to produce a piece as a group, this might be an installation, a series, a large scale piece or book arts. The planning and preparation of work for exhibition will be supported by your tutor, however each person will take on roles to help organise and promote the show together - the aim of this is to help you gain experiences that will help you with selling your own work in the future. Taught sessions will take place fortnightly, following term times but it will be advised that each person also commits to booking 12 open access sessions within the course time to give time for further development of work outside of the taught workshops. Basic materials (e.g. newsprint, drawing materials, tape, tissues etc. with be provided. Cancellation Policy
This course/session requires a minimum of 3 participants in order to be viable to run. If we receive fewer than 3 bookings we may cancel the course/session or reschedule to start at a later date. In this event we will notify you via email to see if you are able to reschedule or to issue you with a refund. If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us at norwichprintmakers@gmail.com ASAP. We regret that refunds cannot be given for cancellations received less than 7 days before the start date of the course/booking. We cannot issue refunds if a participant does not turn up on the day. If we need to cancel a course for whatever reason we will notify all participants ASAP and issue refunds via your original payment method. All bookings include a 5% online booking fee which is non-refundable, this covers transaction costs which we have to pay out as a non profit company. All participants must be over 18. Please do not book if you or the person you are booking for is under 18 years of age. By booking, you agree for us to share your email address with the course tutor so they can contact you with information as needed before the course. Your details will not be passed on by us to any 3rd parties. By booking you confirm you have read and agreed to these terms.
