Join us for this two hour talk with local artist and founder of the Norwich Print Fair, Martin Mitchell who is a master of mezzotint and a member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers! Martin's work is influenced by a love of landscape and an interest in the natural environment. He begins his work by physically being in the landscape producing lots of location drawing and taking photos, returning to the same place at different times of day and year, to see the changes of weather conditions and seasons. The work is deeply observed with a quiet melancholy. “For me art is combining the aesthetics of the image and the dexterity of the craft skills of the artist. This I feel is best exemplified in the techniques of printmaking and especially Mezzotint.” Mitchell has won major international arts prizes and his work is held in public and private collections thoughout Great Britain and abroad.
Cancellation Policy
This course/session requires a minimum of 3 participants in order to be viable to run. If we receive fewer than 3 bookings we may cancel the course/session or reschedule to start at a later date. In this event we will notify you via email to see if you are able to reschedule or to issue you with a refund. If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us at norwichprintmakers@gmail.com ASAP. We regret that refunds cannot be given for cancellations received less than 7 days before the start date of the course/booking. We cannot issue refunds if a participant does not turn up on the day. If we need to cancel a course for whatever reason we will notify all participants ASAP and issue refunds via your original payment method. All bookings include a 5% online booking fee which is non-refundable, this covers transaction costs which we have to pay out as a non profit company. All participants must be over 18. Please do not book if you or the person you are booking for is under 18 years of age. By booking, you agree for us to share your email address with the course tutor so they can contact you with information as needed before the course. Your details will not be passed on by us to any 3rd parties. By booking you confirm you have read and agreed to these terms.
