Service Description
On this 1 day workshop you’ll learn how to create a repeat pattern design that can be transferred onto a lino block and printed in repeat on a large sheet of paper! Taking inspiration from Indian fabric designs and the likes of William Morris, you’ll first spend time drawing out a design onto paper. Your design will be cut up and rearranged so that it can be repeated and then transferred onto your lino block. Next, you’ll learn how to carve your design using various tools and shown how to print by hand onto a large sheet of paper. You will be fully inducted to use the tools and equipment available at our studio and materials will be provided including 1XA5 lino block, paper and ink. Once you have completed this course you can apply to become a member of Norwich Printmaking Hub and can book onto our open access sessions. Cancellation Policy
This course/session requires a minimum of 3 participants in order to be viable to run. If we receive fewer than 3 bookings we may cancel the course/session or reschedule to start at a later date. In this event we will notify you via email to see if you are able to reschedule or to issue you with a refund. If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us at norwichprintmakers@gmail.com ASAP. We regret that refunds cannot be given for cancellations received less than 7 days before the start date of the course/booking. We cannot issue refunds if a participant does not turn up on the day. If we need to cancel a course for whatever reason we will notify all participants ASAP and issue refunds via your original payment method. All bookings include a 5% online booking fee which is non-refundable, this covers transaction costs which we have to pay out as a non profit company. All participants must be over 18. Please do not book if you or the person you are booking for is under 18 years of age. By booking, you agree for us to share your email address with the course tutor so they can contact you with information as needed before the course. Your details will not be passed on by us to any 3rd parties. By booking you confirm you have read and agreed to these terms.
