Taster for our Year of Printmaking!

Service Description

This one off session is a chance to find out more about our Year in Printmaking course before you commit to booking! You will meet Laura, who has 12 years experience of teaching printmaking courses and will be able to help you decide if the course is for you. The course itself is suitable for beginners, however is also and opportunity for those with printmaking experience to develop their practice. You will be shown around the studio, given more information about the course and what opportunities you'll have throughout the year, shown a variety of different examples of blocks, plates and prints to give you an idea of what you'll try your hand at and you can also sample some of the processes such as the wooden letterpress and lino blocks. Although you don't get a certificate at the end of the course, there are several benefits of doing a year of printmaking with us, including: Tuition from our different tutors A wide range of processes covered including (mono print/type, letterpress, lino cut, collagraph, kitchen lithography, drypoint, etching, mono screen print) Basic materials included (excludes printing blocks and plates) Develop professional practice (even if you also work with other art disciplines such as painting or textiles) Develop a portfolio of work Support to apply for higher education Support in writing artist statements Opportunity to collaborate and exhibit with others Free membership to the studio during the course For more information or if you can't make the taster sessions on offer email us at norwichprintmakers@gmail.com Over 18s only.
